I had heard, and also read, that replacing the faceplate on your PSP will void the warranty. Can anyone confirm this? If it is true than I can go ahead and trash the warranty information for my newly remodeled PSP.  |

Basically, the rule of thumb is that once you see it's inner side, you voided any warranty that can exist. It's sad that people can't change a faceplate without voiding their warranty, but if someone was to try and altering some of the chips and breaking it, he would then try to blame it on the faceplate.
However, Sony has been quite nice in the past; I once received a broken PS2 from a friend who had bought a new one, and after a quick call at Sony, they told me they would fix it for free. |
