They unveiled the PSP camera at E3. It looks like a smaller version of the eye toy. Do you think you'll get? It probably sucks up a ton of battery.

Hopefully it won't take as much battery power as let say...GTA did. It is not using any rendering technique and is "simply" capturing video...so hopefully this means longer life for the battery.

I hate anything that eats power so I'm staying well away from this one till I've read some trustworthy reviews and stuff

I can't see it working like the EyeToy. You have to hold the PSP with at least one hand, so unless all the games require you to either move your head or other hand, there's not really much else.

photo's straight into a PSP sounds pretty sweet. Instead of into a digital camera, onto the computer and then into the psp. Yah I'm lazy, deal with it.

It sounds like one less thing to carry if you're apt to take pics. I do wonder what the quality of the photos would be however

Funny thing about the PSP Camera is that it was announced several years ago and seemed WAY cool. Now, two years later I am seriously less excited about it. Unless you can take a picture and then email it directly using the WiFi connection, I'm not going to be too impressed.

well, I dont know about everyone else, but a lot of crappy technical problems can come up when using a digital camera and transfering photos onto the computer. For one thing, when I do it, it makes all my pictures HUGE. And there was like a billion required programs just to work the damn thing. If I could just take pics with the psp it'd be way easier, because thats where all my favourite pics end up anyway.

They really dont know when the psp camera is going to come out so this really disheartens me, althought i did look on ebay and if you can find it, there is one being sold for $50 from beijing china, i asked the seller if the format was the same for the chinese psp as it was for the american psp, but i got no response back, there is also going to be a GPS feature that comes out with the camera, when they both do come out, the camera will cost around $35 and the GPS around $55, i hope they come out before christmas because then hopefully someone will buy them for me...
